The 2006 National Water Quality Monitoring Conference, held in May in San Jose, CA, was a huge success. Over 900 people attended the conference with about 100 volunteer monitoring program coordinators in attendance. Ann Reid and Art Garceau captured some of the events with their digital cameras and were kind enough to share those photos with us.

Eleanor Ely was presented with the Elizabeth J. Fellows Award at the conference.

Linda Green, of URI Watershed Watch, was a co-host for the conference and welcomed the attendees to the event.

Nearly 100 volunteer monitoring program coordinators attended the conference. A large number of us gathered one evening for a needs assessment meeting.
