The goal of the NIFA National Integrated Water Quality Program's (NIWQP) Competitive Grants Program is to fund appropriate research, extension, and education efforts that are necessary to protect or improve the quality and quantity of water resources throughout the United States and its territories in rural, agricultural, and urbanizing watersheds.
